Meet Corey Moe of JUCE Mafia Brand

Today we’d like to introduce you to Corey Moe.

Corey, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
It all started as a simple sketch for a promo/party team in 2013 and the name was Juice Mafia, with an “i”. Once the logo was made and released to the public, it instantly attracted them: the boldness, yet elegancy of it. But, back then, a clothing line wasn’t on my agenda, I just wanted my promo team to have its own logo. But once I lost friends within the group, due to fallouts or life, in general, steering us away from each other, the logo stuck in my mind and I wanted to take it a step further. However, two years later, I finally try to copyright my name, finding out that it was already taken. So, I took it upon myself to “drop” the “i” and make it an acronym. Now, the name “JUCE” as well as the logo itself, stands out in a crown and is easily noticed. I currently have two other clothing lines that are in the works including a women’s line named “JUCÈ”, and a men’s formal suit line called “SPIFF”. I plan for JUCE to be the next Nike or Adidas. It is more than clothes, it is truly a lifestyle.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It was definitely not a smooth road at all. My main struggles, especially in the beginning, was the lack of knowledge of business and the fashion industry in general, as well as financial struggles preventing me from investing in the brand to really make it flourish. Also, there is the struggle of production: I make all of my pieces from home on a small embroidery/sewing machine so turnaround time has been a challenge. But I am currently in the process of getting the proper resources together to expand and possibly open my own store!

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the JUCE Mafia Brand (The Juggernaut Universal Culture Enterprise) story. Tell us more about the business.
Here at JUCE, we specialize, for now, in urban fashion but plan to expand to different fields like entertainment, hair & skincare, automotive, and more! We are known for our boldness as well as our humbleness. We represent “life” in its entirety so everything we do is vibrant & full of good vibes!

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t necessarily believe in luck. However, I do believe in everything happening for a reason. If something bad happens in life, evaluate it, learn from it, and refrain from making the same mistake. If “bad things” keep happening, usually that is preparation for something greater. A wise man once said, ” You gotta go through Hell to get to Heaven”. Stay positive, believe, and it’s as good as done.
