Meet Brittany Criswell of Let’s talk Dallas in DeSoto

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Criswell.

Brittany, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I always had this fire in my gut to be great at first I didn’t know exactly what it was. I knew I didn’t just want to work a regular 9-5 for long especially since everyone at the jobs I worked knew me as the Snapback girl or the purse girl, lol. I was known for at every call center having a store in the drawer of my desk. I knew I wanted to be my own boss. I enrolled in cosmetology school at Paul Mitchell Arlington in 2016 and went to do hair at a fashion show and ended up curling Cat Joya’s hair! That absolutely changed my life! We laughed and had great vibes it was our first time meeting. I had an absolute desire to film YouTube videos just because everyone always told me I have a bubbly personality and belong on Tv. Cat had a radio show “keeping up with Lady Cat” and invited me on as her guest. After that, we clicked and she invited me to be her cohost. I fell in love, she later left the station and that passion I was searching for had been triggered, so I started my own show Let’s talk Dallas to interview different artist, entrepreneurs and expose the dopeness in Dallas. I was at the station for about a year but I still was missing something so I linked up with my bestie, DJ Goodwitit who does the dopest music videos in the city to film the content and place it on his channel Itsallgoodwitittv. We have done artist interviews in studio, Man on the street interviews SXSW the whole 9. I am a Creative so it definitely doesn’t stop there. I decided to leave the corporate world completely bank on me. I moved out to California about two months ago to continue building the brand which has now expanded to Let’s talk entertainment! I plan to host this network worldwide to allow other creative to tap into this same passion and have a platform to show off their personality and connect with everyday people as well as their favorites. Since being in California this short period of time, I featured in 2 major network tv shows and done a handful of background work. I have also interviewed a number of celebrities that I would have never imagined. THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING!

Has it been a smooth road?
This has definitely been a challenge not only because of the people that doubt, downplay or try to compare me to others but The hustle is Real! Not a day goes by that you don’t get tempted to go back to working for someone for that “Guaranteed money” but I have to always remember the bigger picture and nothing is guaranteed except the work you put into your self and the grind for your brand!

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Let’s talk Dallas – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
Let’s talk Dallas/Letstalkentertainment is known for interviewing artists, entrepreneurs and creatives to motivate others to push forward with their dreams. I am most proud of the growth and not giving up on the brand.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love how many creative minds are in the city, I love the food! I love how the city is growing so much. I dislike the division and the crab and bucket mentality in the city.
