So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Every since 8th grade, I always knew I wanted to be in the beauty field, no matter what it was, when I was a freshman, I wanted to attend skyline high school because they had a cosmetology program and I thought it would be perfect! I could start while in high school, but it wasn’t my home school nor a practical drive for my mom so I decided to wait till I graduated high school. I put my life and dreams on hold after I became a mom, Fast forward four years, I finally went to Cosmetology school and got my license and I started working in a Nail salon as a nail designer. I worked there for about three years and decided to venture out on my own, I knew I wanted to take my passion for beauty to the next level so I took different lash courses and I went from there! I started taking lash clients immediately, I wanted my clients to have an option so I decided to create my own lash line with the knowledge I have doing lash extensions, for those who feel like lash extensions irritate their eye or maybe it’s too pricey to keep up with full sets and fills time after time. So, I launched my 3D mink lash line “LexiLashes.” We have different styles from natural to full-on glam, the same effect as lash extensions!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I’d be lying if I said it has been a smooth road! It has been very challenging, I’ve definitely stumbled on a few bumps along the way, but I’ve never given up. Owning your own business, I feel like there will always be bumps and bruises, I would have to say one of my biggest struggles is “Time Management” being a full-time mom, having a full-time job as a Nail Designer and trying to manage my business/online store. Time really gets away from me! I definitely struggle with balancing but I’m taking it day by day!

I’m like a Mini “Seasoning Salt” got a mix of everything! I’m not only known for “LexiLashes” but also for doing Lash Extensions, making Lip Gloss and Lip scrubs!
I would have to say as a company we are most proud of the growth! It has been a great journey thus far. Also, proud of the continuous support, we really value that and appreciate it dearly. What sets us apart from others I would say is that we are continuously looking for ways to expand our brand and company, we show gratitude towards our customers and we will continue to do so, we always strive for the best products for our clients to continue to come back as they have been. we are always open to suggestions from our customers because we value them.
What were you like growing up?
I would have to say growing up, I was definitely a fun, outgoing and sometimes shy person. I was very playful and just tried to enjoy life as much as I could. Looking back, growing up, I was definitely interested in all things beauty! That’s where my Gloss line name came from. I’m glad I stuck with that! I thought I was Tyra banks, always tryna to strut like a model.
