Today we’d like to introduce you to $lim Jimmy.
Thanks for sharing your story with us $lim Jimmy. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’ve always loved music. Mostly freestyling and just recording my own music to just listen to myself. As a kid, I was always into learning how to make music. In middle school, I used my guitar hero microphone and plugged it up to my laptop with free software and recorded my 1st freestyle. After that, it was all fun and games. Even with my friends that all rap now, it was all fun and games coming up with us. But over time, more and more people started to tell me they think I should really do music. I’ve always brushed it off and never thought anything about it. But in 2016, after receiving news that my close friend/brother Clyde died, I decided to really give it a shot and take music seriously. The reason I did was that my brother listened to every song I ever sent him and always told me “I’m your biggest fan even when you’re not famous, you got something and you better go for it”. I even brushed his words off when he was alive. But since the day that he was killed, I hear his words in my head and that contributes to this passion that I already have for music and pushes me to chase this dream Clyde knew I could reach. We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s never an easy road. There have been plenty of times where I’ve felt discouraged, like I’m doing music for nothing, felt lost, I even took time off for a while wanting to give up. But every time I think about letting it all go, I think about my brother Clyde and I get right back on track.
What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc. What are you most proud of as a company? What sets you apart from others?
I am an upcoming rapper, I separate myself by making timeless music. My music won’t be the same as the next artist because it’s real music, it’s my life, it’s not about a trend or what someone else is doing. It’s about me and my experiences in life.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
So far, none. I’ve worked to gain everything I have and to be in the position im in today.
