Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah and Farah Ghias.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
We are two Texan sisters who wholeheartedly believe that giving meaningful gifts is essential to strengthening relationships and increasing love between one another – a concept that is also strongly rooted in our heritage and faith.
But we noticed a problem; with every new occasion, milestone, or holiday, it’s getting harder and harder for people to live up to this philosophy. Finding that perfect gift for family members, friends, clients and colleagues every year, for every occasion, is becoming stressful. You are stuck between getting them a plain old gift card (again!) or some tech gadget/accessory that they probably won’t need or use.
The art of giving high-quality, beautiful, thoughtful gifts is slowly dying!
We get it though, who has time to think of the perfect gift idea, find the ideal products, wrap them beautifully, box them up, and then ship and deliver on time, not forgetting to include that handwritten note! It’s an exhausting and time-consuming process!
And that’s exactly why we started Sweet Greetings – your online boutique gift shop to send personalized, high quality, thoughtful gift boxes to your friends and loved ones with ease.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
We had careers in HR Management and School Administration respectively, but we had both made a conscious decision to stay at home once we had children. Therefore, one of the biggest struggles we faced when starting this endeavor was overcoming our own limiting belief that running a business would take away from our kids.
Mommy guilt is real, and something that all moms experience at some point. Ever since we first became moms, our every waking moment was spent catering to our kids, our lives revolved around them. When we started this business however, and had to shift some of our attention away from our kids, we felt incredibly guilty, and to counteract this guilt we would work during nap times and bedtimes, but we ended up pulling ourselves too thin and would feel burnt out and exhausted both mentally and physically by the end of each day.
We now realize though, that we can be great moms and great entrepreneurs at the same time; they are not mutually exclusive. Our children are growing up seeing us focused, determined and passionate about achieving our goals and dreams. They are learning alongside us what it means to take risks and to work hard. We feel we are better moms, not despite our entrepreneurial endeavor, but because of it.

Sweet Greetings Gifts is a personalized gifting service where we offer thoughtful gifting solutions for client appreciation, corporate events, weddings, and all of life’s special occasions.
We are known for our signature, white keepsake boxes that we personalize with the recipient’s name and fill with high-quality, utilitarian, luxury products from around the country (and even different parts of the world!).
