Today we’d like to introduce you to Amy Clary.
A long, long time ago, in the far off land of Austin, Texas, Amy was working hard for a nationwide staffing agency. She was good at her job, in fact, very, very, good.
Everyone wanted to buy temporary staff from her because she was friendly and timely and had great integrity.
After about 3.5 years of working at said company, Amy had an idea for a company that was run better, more efficiently and one that produced better results, so she branched off with a business partner and started KeyStaff. She opened that office in Austin, then one in San Antonio, then one in Houston, and finally made it up to the promised land that some call Dallas, Texas.
Realizing the splendor that is Dallas, Texas, Amy and her family settled here and started to raise a family. She had 3 amazing children (with her amazing husband) and then was called to adopt a little boy from China. Her adoption story took the world by storm and she was interviewed all around the world. This adoption would prompt her to start the One Less Orphan Fund.
Now, along with running a $20M staffing agency, Amy and her family (and amazing friends) work tirelessly to raise funds to save orphans around the world.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Oh, there have been struggles…. market ups and downs, new legislation for small businesses, employment law changes, temporaries that commit and don’t show up, contracts won and contracts expired. But, it’s been a great journey. And, today, we have four great teams in four great Texas cities.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the KeyStaff. story. Tell us more about the business.
KeyStaff not only places the right person in the right position, as our motto says, but we also give back to the communities in which we do business. We’re 24/7! We’ll work to get the jobs filled. We’re a true partner when it comes to staffing.
We also love to help the community. We have “KeyStaff in the Community” where each office stops work to take on a service project for the areas in which we service.
