Today we’d like to introduce you to Latara Dobin and Jermell Dartson.
Latara and Jermell, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
BDP was founded in 2017. I’ve always loved the entertainment industry and wanted to be apart of music, concert promoting, artist management, and assisting our local artist with gaining exposure. My goals are always about helping others get to where they would like to be in life, even if it takes everything in me trying to help. I’ve recently added fashion and modeling to my brand. With a clothing line called “Brown Diamond Clothing” which started with swimwear and we are expanding our line really soon. I enjoy working with my modeling team and Modeling Director Kimmie King which has been with me from day one and started as a fierce model for BDC. I have my Entertainment Director Jermell Dartson and owner of RILL Entertainment that assists with all my entertainment aspects of BDP. I also have my Media Director Ariel Robinson that runs all social media platforms and photography. I am blessed to have an amazing team that backs me.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Everything has not been smooth but we are working through all the kinks. Any successful business will go through its rough patches. We just have to work hard and continue to stay positive and put our best foot forward to meet all goals.
Tell us about your company. What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc. What are you most proud of as a company? What sets you apart from others?
My company does a wide variety of things, We specialize in event planning, artist management, modeling, team building and support, BDC clothing line and catering teams. We are known for being a great support system and throwing amazing events. I am most proud to have a solid team that gets things done. The things that set us apart from others is that we are here to be genuine, supportive, we build solid and strong relationships with anyone we work with, and we give opportunities.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The proudest moment in my career is being able to put together a huge festival coming November 23, 2019, @Lone Star Park and being able to work with amazing artists. Networking and bringing myself and my work to life.
