Sophornia, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Coach Sophornia Davis is a growth strategist and entrepreneur who has built three businesses in addition to being the author of Bruised but Not Broken: Daddy’s Damaged Daughter. Sophornia helps people find and fulfill their purpose, providing tools and actionable steps to help each person reach their goals. She is an international speaker, consultant, certified executive, professional coach, and CEO of S.Davis Coaching as well as the founder of Dee’s Designs and newly founded Inspire Coaching University, which certifies others to become credentialed coaches. Sophornia is also active in the Greater Love Mission Church and continuously serves the mentally-ill and homeless throughout her community. She’s a proud wife to Stuart Davis, a mother of two adults sons and a grandmother to a little princess.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Sophornia did not always feel empowered to be an unapologetic, fiercely authentic inspirational speaker, business owner and author. While she was living her corporate dream, she realized who she was in her daily life was not an accurate image to her true self. Her experiences with rejection and mistreatment caused her to minimize the suppressed, bruised parts of her identity. Her unique story has encouraged many people to persevere despite great odds. Throughout her journey, she has dealt with family disappointments, being a mental health caregiver to her only sibling, health challenges, betrayal, fear, and judgement, but ultimately experiencing full restoration, thanks to God’s plan. Sophornia demonstrates how you, too, can be restored if you stay true to whom God made you, but you must keep the faith and seek God’s plan for your life, and you shall prevail! Sophornia maintained a strong exterior that drove her to be the best version of herself.

I am the proud owner of three businesses as well as an author. My first business is S.Davis Coaching of which I am a growth strategist, which assists others to find and meet their goals in life, career, relationships and spirituality.
As an author, my book, Bruised but Not Broken: Daddy’s Damaged Daughter is a testimony of how life can be exciting and rewarding despite storms, obstacles, and challenges. This book will empower you to follow God’s Will for your life and how to apply unshakable faith to your everyday plans, regardless of pitfalls and heartbreak. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” – Jeremiah 29:11.
My newly found business Inspire Coaching University was born out of my desire to help others reach desired goals. At Inspire Coaching University, all of the faculty holds credentialing and certifications to support and build the skills of those who aspire to become a certified coach. The coaching curriculum is designed to help aspiring coaches meet individual development goals in coaching while laying a firm foundation. To be a good coach, commitment to development is required in addition to skill and experience. Becoming a coach involves a deep level of personal growth and Coach Davis is dedicated to giving a whole experience to her learners.
Last but not least, Dee’s Designs are more of a hobby, because I get to utilize my creative side to make others’ vision’s come true for their special day. Dee’s Designs provides luxury and elegant event decorating and planning services that are affordable for any of your celebration needs. We give the look of glam with a low, affordable cost to you.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
The characteristics that are most important to my success are, dedication, perseverance, vision, and the desire for success. I am continually searching for opportunities to create, recreate or just provide services for others that will be beneficial to their future success.
