Meet Timothy Hall a.k.a. TIMHALL in Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Timothy Hall.

TIMHALL, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was born and raised in Vicksburg, MS. Growing up, my auntie always taught me how to read, write, and compose music. She taught me how to sing and rap, when I was younger, I always loved the spotlight. To be the center of attention was always my forte, it was just in my blood but in a good way. I love to make people smile and when I performed for people they always smiled and clapped. So, I was doing something right and she saw it, I soon then put music off in high school to pursue basketball and I fell in love with that. I love the game still but after moving from MS to TX my sophomore year. I had to meet new coaches that were biased by new people and didn’t really want to give anyone the time to showcase their true talent. So, for the time being, I was just going to school, smoking weed, and talking to females. I then picked back up on music because I saw I had a talent for it and I met someone. The girl I thought that would be mine forever, she wasn’t when I messed up with her badly and that’s when I had a lot of emotion bottled up trying to figure out where ima put it at. I just went to music cause it felt right and I made my first song “Too Soon”. From there, I kept adding repetition to my art and now, I’m waiting to see where this takes me next.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Naw, not really. The struggles I’ve faced is being sold a dream by many people, teamwork not being solid, shortcomings of money, and plans not going the way it’s supposed to go. I guess that’s how things usually work out when you’re trying to figure out how to get yourself popping independently. It’s all a process full of good things and bad, really only the strong ones endure it.

What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc. What are you most proud of? What sets you apart from others?
I specialize in music. I rap, sing, songwrite for other artists, I play drums, piano, and I also dance as well. I’m known for my artistry so basically rapping/singing. I am most proud of my headline show at Tunes World and my collective putting on our first show we all threw together. My collective and I go by the name of BLUPOOLDOMINO which consists of artists, producers, engineers, etc. We all trying to figure this thing out!

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Plan effectively, listened more, took bigger risks, asked others for help more, explore all that I’m talented at and master those things.
