Meet Lawrencia Lockhart of Wrenhowsway in Central Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lawrencia Lockhart.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Lawrencia. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today? You can include as little or as much detail as you’d like. I’ve always enjoyed talking. I began blogging a little over two years ago when I decided to do a 60-day workout challenge. The blogging helped me stay focused through the 60-day challenge, and I continued blogging. After receiving positive feedback about my blogs, I decided I wanted to get my blogs out to a larger audience; therefore, I decided to turn my blogs into a book. In August of this year, I released my first book, titled, Things I Learned Before I Turned 31.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Is anything in life ever a smooth road? Lol, nope. It wasn’t a smooth road; however, I was motivated to share my content with others to help influence, encourage, and/or motivate them. One of the biggest challenges I experienced was obtaining approval for my book cover. I wanted my book to be released on my birthday; however, my publisher rejected my book several times before it was released. It was actually published the day before my birthday and released one hour after my birthday officially ended. Lol.

Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I am a lifestyle blogger. I share stories and experiences from my life, past and present, with readers, full of joys and obstacles. My hope is to uplift others through my life lessons. The blogs will provide a powerful dose of comfort, encouragement, humor, and inspiration into your day. As a blogger, I am most proud when I share a blog and receive positive feedback, or someone shares with me how reading my blog motivated them to take action in their own life.

My blog is unique because I add a thought-provoking scripture to every blog to enhearten someone’s day. I also take topic suggestions from my readers.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t believe in luck. I believe we all have our own destiny to fulfill, filled with exclusive challenges and obstacles. Each of our life stories are unique as we encounter and triumph in every different event that takes place in our lives.
