So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Growing up, I knew that I was different. I’ve always created my own lane and stood out. I’ve worked multiple jobs to provide an income for my family but I wasn’t happy. Spending most of my time away from my son and my husband due to working weird hours. I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart and I’ve always wanted to have that work/life balance. After losing my job in January 2019 as an insurance agent, I decided that enough was enough. I stepped out on faith and decided to become a life changer with Total Life Changes. I’ve been going strong every since. I help people lose weight while becoming the best version of themselves. I also get to work from home and earn an amazing income on my own terms. We have the #1 detox tea in the world and once you cleanse your body out, you’ll start to look better and feel better.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
My journey has its ups and downs. Being an entrepreneur isn’t easy at all, however, I’ve learned that you can achieve anything once you put God first. You can’t allow any negativity to get in the way of what you’re trying to accomplish. As soon as a negative thought comes up quickly replace it with a positive thought. Speak your affirmations and speak life over your life daily. Never stop growing. Continue to read books and get you a coach/mentor. I used to let everything get to me which created stressful situations but once I started growing I quickly learned that you can truly have the life that you desire. You literally have to reprogram your mind and the way that you think. Everything that you wants, wants you. You just have to work hard and go get it. Always remember your WHY.

I am in the health and wellness industry. We are known for our famous Iaso Detox Tea. Lose 5 pounds in 5 days. I’ve been able to help a lot of people lose weight starting with myself. I’ve lost a total of 19 pounds from using our products. Total Life Changes has literally changed my life. I’m so happy that I’m able to help make a difference in someone else’s life. It’s more than just selling tea. I get to build relationships with my clients and really help them become a better version of themselves. I’m so proud to be a life-changer with TLC.
Do you think there are structural or other barriers impeding the emergence of more female leaders?
In general, I feel that women have to start collaborating more instead of competing with each other. Everyone brings something unique to the table and we are a powerful force as one. Let’s help build each other up and stop tearing one another down. Come together and hold each other’s hands. We are all in this thing called life together, so why not make it easier by helping each other. We can all be leaders and win together.
