So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My brother and I started with a dream to provide authentic Mexican food to the Dallas area. We started in January 2011 along with our mom, which she’s the one that taught us all the recipes. From there on we have been working on providing the best food from our city Monterrey Mexico.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has been eight years of hard work and ups and downs. From equipment breaking down to even considering the idea of selling the restaurant and quit our dream. We have managed to stay afloat and continue the journey.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Monterrey Taquerias – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Monterrey Taquerias it’s an authentic Mexican food restaurant, we sell from breakfast to lunch & dinner. We specialize in tacos y barbacoa. Our customers always tell us that we have the best barbacoa in the DFW, which is the main dish in Monterrey also we have hand made corn and flour tortillas which are made when you order. We are also known for our .99cents street tacos which are really hard to find nowadays. Not only do we strive to provide homemade food but we also take pride in connecting with our customers and making them feel like they’re eating in Mexico. I think what sets us apart from others it’s that everything it’s made from scratch even down to our handmade tortillas.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We wish to expand our location in the near future. We also want to reach more people and be seen as the go-to place for authentic Mexican food.
