Kara, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My husband and I have known for years we wanted to start a business and expand upon success. After various small talks, the idea of a blow dry bar began to sound more and more interesting and needed in our Fort Worth community. While Fort Worth had one, it was only one and the idea of having a locally owned blow dry bar in the area seemed to interest many.
Conversations began to blossom and we decided to jump in despite being from very different industries in our careers. The process has been blessed with many talented folks helping it both come into fruition and grow into the business we are today. This included an amazing architect, an extremely understanding leasing agent, and wonderfully talented stylists and marketing rep/receptionist.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. The biggest hurdle was learning the dynamics of an industry we were not at all familiar. There was a huge hurdle in getting established due to untold and unforeseen circumstances which delayed funding and construction. Lastly, building a business is slow and finding the right marketing theme and flow is trial and error. What we have not comprised on is customer service and personalized unhurried attention which has allowed us to grow beyond the struggles.

We are a locally owned blow dry bar with experienced styling artists who are extremely passionate about their art and leaving their clients showcasing the client’s own beauty. Fort Worth owned and operated blowout bar specializing in professional styling to include Blowouts, Updos, Keratin Treatments, Bridal Hair Styling, Hair Repair, Extensions and Styles for special events.
Each Style Artist, through their unique flare, is dedicated to individualizing your experience. The result is a style specific to you and your personal beauty through tailored customer experience.
Since we are locally owned and operated, we are the ones you speak to when making an appointment or asking questions. The service received is personalized to you in a comfortable and relaxed space; the goal is to be pampered and not rushed.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is both in the employees and the clients. It is our commitment to creating an environment where both thrive and love being at the salon. Success is allowing stylists the space to bring their unique style to the client while providing personalized service and great outcomes. Stylists who are free to bring their flare will thrive and perform optimally giving the client exceptional service. The client is here to receive a very personal service where they want to leave feeling their optimal best in a relaxed and fun environment. When both are working in tandom, this is success.
