Meet Andrew Okokhere of Love The Grind Fitness in Downtown Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrew Okokhere.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Andrew. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
For me, fitness is a way of life. It has helped groom me into the motivator I am today not only physically, but mentality as well. As a college football athlete at The University of Charleston, I was very determined to sign with an NFL team after graduation. Although it was an honor to have tried out with the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens after college. However, I couldn’t let that discourage me from serving my purpose.

After my college football career, I decided to utilize my skill and ambition in a whole new type of field. Already graduating from UC with a political science degree, I pursued a second degree in the medical field. In 2015 I graduated with my second degree in radiological science and soon became a CT Technologist. I developed a passion for helping others and loved the science of the human anatomy involved with patient care. As a healthcare practitioner, I realized the large amount of people who are in sick condition due to not living a healthy lifestyle. I would often think to myself that there has to be more that we can do as a community to lower the rate of obesity and death due to unhealthy eating habits. With my years of experience being trained by some of the best trainers in Texas and my health care knowledge developed throughout my radiology profession, I realized that personal training and fitness was my gift to help others seek a healthier path. 

In 2018 I decided to become a certified personal trainer and help people from all over the world develop a healthy lifestyle that will keep them in great shape but most importantly help them live a longer life. With hard work and dedication, I became certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and started my personal training business known as “Love The Grind Fitness.” Located in Dallas Texas at the Sandersfit Performance Center, I have helped many Men and Women of all ages transform their bodies into the best shape of their life.

Has it been a smooth road?
Like most business starting off, it definitely was not easy. From building my own website to gaining clientele, and even finding a gym home to train them in, It certainly took work and dedication. However, with the grace of God and the will to fulfill my purpose of helping others live a happy healthy life, I was determined to get the job done.

I moved to Dallas Texas from Atlanta Georgia in 2019 with a plan and did not look back. I now have an amazing performance training center where I train my clients and have helped many people reach the fitness level they’ve always dreamed of. The ultimate goal for Love The Grind Fitness is to continue to help many people around the world get in the best shape of their lives and I definitely believe that Dallas TX is the city to make it happen.

I love Dallas Texas! The people are amazing and the opportunity to grow is limitless. Fitness needs to be in every city and I am happy to be able to bring my style of fitness to Dallas. This is definitely a city that takes their health serious. Just step outside and you’ll be able to see, the community in action. From people running on trails, taking fitness classes, or even working towards their own fitness business. Dallas Texas is on its way to becoming one of the top 3 cities for fitness, and I am happy to be apart of the progress.
