Thanks for sharing your story with us Jordan. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started writing music at 14. Writing about all the basic rapper things. That’s what I wanted to be. I couldn’t envision myself doing anything else. I wanted the fame, glory, money, and everything else that came with being a famous artist. I got caught up in chasing those things I looked up at 24 yrs old and found myself a million miles away from where I wanted to be. From where God wanted me to be. That’s when I made a change and started living for him again. And that’s when he started to bless my music. The rest is yet to be written.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
My biggest struggle has been idolatry. I idolized famous artists. I idolized love. When you put those things before God you have to go out of his will to get them. That can be a dark road.
Please tell us about Jordan May Music – what should we know?
I make music that glorifies God. People often ask me would I categorize it as Christian rap or gospel rap? I don’t really care what people call it, as long as they feel it. I have a sing-songy rap style, which I have been doing way before it became popular, & way before I even knew how to sing, lol.

My sisters who I can always lean on when I need advice. My COG 7th day fam, couldn’t do life without them. My friends that I can always bounce ideas off of, and get creative feedback, they know who they are. And last but not least, every single person that listens to my music. Whether it’s one song or all of them, y’all keep me creating which keeps me living in purpose. Thank you.
