Meet Aina Robinson and Shoshianna Moore of Not Cho Cheesecake

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aina Robinson and Shoshianna Moore.

Aina and Shoshianna, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Not Cho Cheesecake was born after a girl’s trip to Memphis, TN and visiting a local black-owned cheesecake corner store. This local business had everything from delicious cheesecake to exquisite wine with an unforgettable vibe to match. The experience was such a joy we went back again the next day to try more flavors of cheesecake and that’s when we shared the same idea of starting our very own bakery in Oklahoma! We immediately began to brainstorm ideas such as names, flavors, colors, etc. Deciding to put action behind our idea, we started baking and within two weeks we created our very own cheesecake recipe that could silence any craving in a room! Not Cho Cheesecake officially launched to the world online, locally, as well as within the US on September 2, 2019, and it’s been an incredible journey since.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Actually it has, almost too smooth if you ask lol. However, we know not to question God’s work. We have worked extremely hard to get to where we are now… this journey has been nothing short of long, long nights and early mornings. It’s been overwhelming, it’s been scary, it’s been exciting and more because it’s our journey that we’re talking about here… our story… and some days our struggle. We wouldn’t want it any other way, we prayed for this!
