Today we’d like to introduce you to Vaden Todd and Rachel Stas – Lewis.
So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
After over 25 years as a touring and recording musician, Vaden had experienced all kinds of rehearsal studios. He wanted to build a space where musicians would feel comfortable and at ease. After many discussions with his wife/partner Rachel, starting on their first date, they felt that they had come up with a solid plan for a premier rehearsal studio. Working with a team of engineers, contractors and local visual artists resulted in The Loop.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Fort Worth is such a supportive community that word of mouth served us well, and we had our monthly rehearsal rooms all booked fairly quickly. Tweaking our online presence exposed our facility’s hourly room to touring musicians from all over the world, from Fort Worth’s own Leon Bridges to Disney. All in all, it’s been pretty smooth sailing.
Please tell us about The Loop – Artist Rehearsal Complex.
The Loop is a rehearsal space built by a musician for musicians. Attention to detail was a top priority during the design and build-out phases. Features include:
*Offset studs and sound baffling between units. This reduces noise and vibration between rooms.
*13 Foot ceilings in studios.
*Multiple electrical circuits in every room to eliminate “amp buzz”.
*Multiple security cameras throughout common areas, as well as parking lot and roof.
*Dimming LED light fixtures.
*USB plugs in wall sockets.
*Rotating exhibit of local visual artists throughout the building.
All of these features make The Loop a clean and secure place to create and rehearse.

We were extremely lucky to find a building for sale in the Near South Side that fit our location, space and budgetary needs. We’re minutes from live music venues all over central Fort Worth and have easy access from I30 and I35.
