Andre, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
The conception of XscapePain began about five years ago when my parents and I with the entrepreneur spirit in our DNA were introduced to a groundbreaking technology that addresses the biochemical effects of aging, with the ultimate goal of biohacking the human body to live longer.
One of the main biochemical effects of aging is oxidative stress. Which causes your cells to start wearing down. We found that this technology was reversing the process. In fact, in a recent study, the United States National Institute of Aging found that in male mice Nrf2 was the only supplement scientifically proven to increase lifespan by 7 percent. But this technology didn’t stop there. The second biochemical effect of aging is mitochondrial decline. Basically, your cells lose power. You need that power so that your organs can work efficiently, you can think clearly, and your body can act when it is called upon. When your cells have the power to do their thing, you feel better and you live longer. This technology is boosting mitochondrial production so you can keep that cellular energy for as long as possible. Allowing you to keep doing your thing, whatever that thing is.
A year ago, we were introduced to an even more revolutionary technology by a close friend of the family. We have known she has been dealing with serious inflammation in her neck and back which resulted in extreme pain for the past few years. After a while, we noticed that she wasn’t having nearly as much challenges with her mobility and asked what she was doing differently. That’s when she mentioned this whole body light therapy device that she was using to significantly reduce her pain, relax muscles/joints, and increase her blood circulation. The therapy is called photobiomodulation or PBMT.
Through our additional research we found that pain management drugs cover pain up by interfering with chemical signals. PBM actually treats the source of the pain, relieving muscular and joint pain. Has it been a smooth road?
We are about to complete our first year of business. Although we have quite a bit of experience in starting and running a business it definitely has not been smooth sailing. Some of the biggest challenges were around the fact that most of the people we have introduced our services to have never heard of it. This meant we have had to spend quite a bit of time educating and evangelizing the technology. This also meant when onboarding new staff members it took a bit of time to ramp them up to be knowledgeable enough to answer questions from our potential clients.
Some of the other struggles were typical for small businesses with regard to maximizing our dollars and deciding the best ways to market ourselves.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the XscapePain story. Tell us more about the business.
