Today we’d like to introduce you to Abigail McIntosh.
Abigail, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Life In focus started as a way to share my life and style finds with my family back home while living in Des Moines Iowa. It quickly became a space to share my bucket list travels and everyday hobbies. Growing up Entrepreneurship has always been apart of me, I always had a small business going of my own. In elementary school, I would go around to neighbor’s houses asking to walk their dogs. I eventually made flyers and started to turn a profit. In Middle School I started to make duck tape wallets, I would ask my mom to take me to any craft and home improvement store to get any colors I could get my hands on to make different varieties for boys and girls! In high school and college, it evolved into coffee bag purses and select pieces of clothing! After looking back it all makes sense how it all evolved into my little space on the internet. I’ve been fortunate enough for Life in Focus to take me all over the world and has brought some amazing people into my life.
Has it been a smooth road?
It defiantly hasn’t been the most smooth road. It tough to not get wrapped up in the comparisons game wishing you had x y and z and x amount of followers in a world where numbers can count. It can also be a tricky balance between sharing your life and wanting to keep some things private. It can be hard to have that balance, especially when what are you doing is sharing inside your life!
We’d love to hear more about your work.
Life in Focus is evolving to sharing more of my everyday life and hobbies. I want to make my profile as transparent as possible and not put on a front of all I do is travel every day and life is all sunshine and rainbows. Reminding people yes we may see beautiful photos but there’s more behind that. want to share more of myself and I’m most proud of the authentic audience I have built in such a short time and staying true to the mt brand and only working with companies I truly love and think my audience will do!
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
There are ENDLESS possibilities in Dallas. Dallas is a city where something is always happening so I would 100% recommend someone who is in starting to start in Dallas!
