Today we’d like to introduce you to Monay Jenelle.
Monay, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I coach cheerleading for over six years and I never just taught cheerleading. I always told them to follow their dreams but do not be just a dreamer. One day one of my cheer girls came to me and ask me what is my dream? I answered and said I want to be a model, but I do not want to lose myself in the process. She asked me have I took the first step to becoming a model.
At that moment I realize I preach something that I do not put in action. So I decided to model it was not an easy path to go down. There were a lot of hardship trails I had to face like being threaten and people looking down on me. But I look in myself and keep grinding and I was glad I did. My whole life change from darkness to the light which made me want to give back. So this January 11, 2020, I am doing a charity event for the battered women shelter.
Has it been a smooth road?
The road was not smoothed at all. I had people saying I was not good enough to be a model or was not pretty enough. I even had friends and family members against me it did hurt but that did not stop me from reaching my goals. I have had people threaten me because of my picture where it made me think to stop modeling but I could not stop something I love to do. I realized people in your city will not support you but people out your city will.
We’d love to hear more about your work.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
In the next five to ten years I plan the entertainment business harder, but also do over 100 charity event giving back no matter what.
