Meet Anna Hurst of Eco Blossom Nursery in Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Hurst.

Anna, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
In 2008 I started a landscape company called Happy Gardens. My goal was to provide services that focus on quality, customer service and sustainability and eco-friendliness, which, among other things, including the use of native Texas plants. Over the years I have noticed a need for a local garden store that would make native plants easily available.

In 2018 I started Eco Blossom Nursery- an online garden store that focuses on native and well-adapted plants. We strive to offer a wide variety of native plants and make the shopping experience easy. As we grow, we keep expanding our native plant inventory. Surprisingly, our customers come from various parts of Texas, not only Dallas-Fort Worth area, and it only reinforces the idea that there is a market for native plants.

Has it been a smooth road?
This is only our second year as a retailer, but we have seen a need for native plants and accelerated growth due to that need. As with any business venture, there are challenges, but so far the experience has been rewarding.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Eco Blossom focuses on native and well-adapted plants. We are an online garden store, and our website was designed to be easy to use and informative. Our customers order online and we deliver locally in Fort Worth or offer pickup for customers that live outside of our delivery area.

Our goal is to give you easy access to a wide variety of plants that provide both aesthetic value and environmentally responsible landscaping options. Our catalog is limited to plants that can thrive in North Texas without the use of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, or excessive water. Color photographs help you select the plants that suit your design and taste, and detailed descriptions help you select the plants best suited to the planting site and to your goals for attracting and benefiting wildlife.

We hope that providing easy access to native and well-adapted plants will enable more Fort Worth/Dallas citizens to create sustainable gardens that serve as wildlife habitats, provide for pollinators, and enhance the beauty of our community without draining our precious natural resources.

We are committed to doing, even more, to help promote water conservation and the preservation of our native wildlife and habitats. With that in mind, we donate 5% of pre-tax sales to nonprofit organizations that support those causes in Texas. At checkout, you select the organization that you want to receive a donation from your purchase.

Pricing:

  • $75 order minimum for both delivery and pickup.
