Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Vaughn.
Ashley, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started singing as an outlet for the stress in my life. I would write poetry and rhymes thinking I’d never share with the world. I shared one video and I’ve been getting all kinds of positive feedback and encouragement. Now I just want to share my story with the world and encourage people to follow and chase their dreams!!
Has it been a smooth road?
The biggest struggle is getting a following, getting people to engage in your music. Promotion isn’t cheap and it’s not always a promise that people will be interested in your content. The platform is there just not the engagement.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with AshCashMusic – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I’m most proud of writing and producing my music on my iPhone. Occasionally I will use my MacBook but the bulk of it is from my phone. I write all of my music and will sample whatever song I’m feeling in my spirit, like whatever song inspired my mood of the day. I try to write and upload at least one song a day. And I’ll push it as hard as I can between working a full-time job, sleeping and other obligations.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Dallas is very diverse. I live in a very cultural neighborhood so I’m exposed to different sounds and interactions. The least thing I like is the traffic and bridges lol. I am terrified of heights.
