Today we’d like to introduce you to Kay Tolbert.
Kay, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’m a life coach/ stylist/ creator. To be honest I started off designing earrings and handbags because I had and currently have a love for style. However my inner self desired more and I knew there was more of me to give. As hard as it was I have and continue to transition my brand into more than style. I combined my love for style and my desire to help women into what I now call “Your Lifestylist”. So, yes I am Your Lifestylist Kay and I help women dig through past life trauma and issues so that they can win in every area of their life.
Style and fashion is just a piece of who we are I realized there are many of us missing the healed aspect of ourselves and we cover it or mask it with style and fashion but we are hurting within. Most of us have no clear way to even began to tackle the things that keep us bound.
So I created my life coaching out of a need to help women get pass the outer appearance and to help women dive deep so they can survive pass what, who, why and where they have been hurting, past life trauma plays a huge role in our life when it’s not dealt with properly.
With that being said, I am Your Lifestylist Kay!!!!

Has it been a smooth road?
This process has not been so smooth… I’ve struggled with my own thoughts of not being enough to do what I know I’m supposed to be doing. Life has gotten the best of me at times and has caused sets backs. However, I keep pushing on because as I build this, I build myself and as I build myself I build others.
There are people, women in particular that need what I have to give and my desire to provide just that keeps me pushing.

I am Your Lifestylist but my company name is Uniquely Hooked LLC. Many know me by my different specialties. Many women know me as the earring lady because I have built a bad as group of customers who love to look fly. So one of my proudest moments is that I created something out of nothing and I have continued to build on that.
So my coaching service where created and now I have an entire additional group of women who know me as Your Lifestylist. Where I provide insight on life and also give you a bit of style if that’s what you need.
I’m just happy to be able to mesh my desire for style and coaching into a brand that I love. As well as women who I talk to and help, they also reap the benefits of what I offer.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Of course!!!! Dallas is a great place to start. It’s so big and honestly no matter where you are you should start. Never allow location to keep you from starting. We have the internet so you can live anywhere and be successful.
Just a little insight: I’m from Oak Cliff…. lol
You don’t have to be from Dallas to know about Oak Cliff!
My journey wasn’t glamorous but within the journey which I am still on I’m choosing to be glamorous no matter how ugly it may get.
