Today we’d like to introduce you to Morgan Harrison.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Morgan. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’ve been thrifting since I was a kid. I would shop with my Mom, Grandma, and Aunts super often. We’d frequent Goodwills, local thrift stores, and garage sales. I’m also a really big fan of the 90s era which is a heavy influence on my personal style. I still watch Living Single, The Fresh Prince, and Martin for inspiration. My eye for vintage has always come naturally so starting Meaux Vintage felt like a perfect thing to do.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
There have definitely been a few struggles along the way. Working a full-time job and running a business is something I’m still trying to master. Being a sole business owner comes with its own set of challenges but nothing I can’t handle. When you love what you do the obstacles don’t seem so big.

Give Me Meaux Vintage is a store primarily focused on African American vintage and memorabilia. I carry a lot of vintage gear from historically black colleges, memorabilia from popular black tv shows, music, and movies. I have great pride in being an African American woman and the history that comes along with it and Meaux Vintage is definitely a reflection of that. It was also apart of vintage I felt was untapped outside of rap tees so I wanted to bring something different. I make sure to source the best of the best. Items that you won’t come across that often.
What were you like growing up?
I was a mix between introvert and extrovert. I was an only child for a very long time so I enjoyed being alone. I also have a big family so it was hard to not be outgoing at the same time. Super music and movie fan. Along with playing dress up. I guess it’s all come full circle.
