Today we’d like to introduce you to Anita Ivancevic.
Anita, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I contribute all of my success to the work ethic instilled in me by my parents. We immigrated to the Unites States when I was 6 years old and at the core of Dallas Gift Wrap Creations is a little girl whose parents told her, “You can do anything you set your mind to!” After graduating from Brown University in 2008, I worked in corporate and soon ventured out on my own successful real estate career. In the midst of this career, I began gifting all of my real estate clients beautifully presented closing gifts and with that, DGWC began with a single recommendation by a very, very dear friend. Since its formation, I have personally designed and wrapped over 1,000 gift presentations to my wonderful clients throughout Dallas. I founded the company with a belief that the presentation is just as important as the gift itself and with a desire to elevate the gifting experience for both the recipient and the person gifting. The art of gifting is all about the way you make someone feel.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
As with any growing business, there have been challenges along the way but none which have not been overcome. I have been blessed with wonderful mentors, fellow entrepreneurs and friends who consistently support my vision and offer valuable advice along the way as my company grows. Likewise, I am thankful for my clients and their continued dedication and trust in using my services. It is a privilege to wrap presents for such joyous and momentous occasions and in many ways, I feel I leave a part of me in each gift I wrap.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was an athlete and a tomboy! Most (if not all) of my time was spent playing tennis, training and/or studying. Mom and dad ran a tight ship! Haha. I loved to compete and travel for tournaments… and the competitive edge is still very much here!
