Meet J. Francisco Quiroz

Today we’d like to introduce you to J. Francisco Quiroz.

J, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I was born in a small town called Mier y Noriega, Nuevo Leon Mexico just a few hours away from Monterrey the state capital. I grew up in Monterrey Mexico, where I completed all my education, including the medical school that I was fortunate enough to have received a scholarship too. I also completed my Family Practice Residency while in Monterrey. One of the goals in my life was to come to the states and practice my passion for medicine.

I came to the USA shortly after completing my family practice residency. After completing all the national medical Boards, I was accepted to start the Family Practice Residency at St. Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. It was a three years program that I completed in 1996. I had been married at the time on 8/1990 and by 1996, we already had our two kids who were both born in Illinois. We moved to Texas shortly after my youngest was born and this was where I started practicing Family Medicine. However, I was always intrigued by treating the patient with a holistic approach, using personalized medicine and more than seeing only sick people I wanted to prevent people from getting sick and keep them as well as possible, which was the reason why I started training in holistic medicine and became Board certified. I also trained in anti-aging, regenerative and functional medicine and became Board certified. I also became an advanced fellowship program in anti-aging, regenerative and functional medicine. I have been practicing holistic, integrative and functional medicine for almost 12 years now and I truly enjoy seeing people transform in their health and wellness.

Has it been a smooth road?
My first challenge was to be able to speak English fluently when I first go to the states. It wasn’t until taking English classes in my free time and constantly practicing with friends and family that I eventually got to a point where I was comfortable and I can proudly say today that I am fluent in both English and Spanish. My second challenge was to raise enough capital to open up my practice that had been a dream of mine. I was fortunate enough to save up enough money throughout the years until one day I finally decided that It was time to start this new journey of being able to help others on a much more bigger scale.

Tell us more about the business.
The splendor of Youth medical is a family practice with a focus on holistic and integrative treatment therapies. We pride ourselves on combining the best of both conventional and alternative medicines to bring our patients the best results structured for the long-term. What sets us apart from most standard medical clinics is that we don’t treat the illness of the person. Instead, we treat the person with the illness by looking at all of the affecting factors that make up a certain illness. By looking at the individual’s lifestyle, health, activities, nutrition, and spiritual factors, we can determine a holistic approach to treating the root of the illness instead of simply disguising it. We specialize in restoring hormonal imbalances for women that could be going through menopause or perimenopause and the symptoms that come along with this issue.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
The medical industry will always be advancing with newer techniques and treatments with the help of science.
