Today we’d like to introduce you to Key Kelly.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Key. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started working in the medical field and that’s where I decided I wanted my career to go. After losing my grandmother and realizing time waits for no one, I quit. Around that same time, my brother’s contract ended with his job. My mother Lydia introduced us to selling on Amazon so WE DID and turned that into our own little family business.
Then my brother asked what else can we do? He went and bought a truck and asked himself what can I do to make money with this truck. He introduced me to 3600 Zone which started off as a fitness movement. After realizing we could DO more, we began adding additional services. Now we offer moving, hauling, cleaning services, electrician work, handyman, transport services and MORE. Both of the business are fairly new but are both making a little buzz not even just in Fort Worth but mostly the Dallas Area.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Imagine jumping into a pool and thinking I am either going to sink or swim. That was me, my brother Dre Darty, and my mom Lydia on this business adventure. We knew nothing about how to run a business; we just jumped right into it and yes, we had some struggles. We often put too much money into something and didn’t price the return. It’s been times where we underbid ourselves. It’s even been some simple stuff that was just overlooked but at this moment, we are still swimming and now learning to float.
3600 Zone – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We are a small family-owned business that has our hands in a little bit of everything and still going. We offer so many services such as an online store, cleaning services, hauling and moving services, handyman services, we just added lawn services. Those are just a few services that we offer and plan to offer SO MUCH more in the future. We are proud that is family owned and operated what started off as just one person’s dream. We put three heads together and plan on making this a huge reality and good for others. Being able to be REALLY and truly a one-stop-shop that you can guarantee and trust.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is not determined by what you do its how you do it. We came up with things we know how to do and can do them in our sleep then just started offering those services to the world. We are doing good right now but of course, we want to be great. We still have more to give and, in the future, will start adding more people in that see the same vision and goals as we do.
