Meet Alicia Trevino of Century 21 Alicia Trevino Realtors in Mesquite

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alicia Trevino.

Alicia, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was accompanying my then mother in law on a home showing. She needed a translator and the Realtor said, “you should sell Real Estate, we have no bilingual Realtor,”

So I did and like that my destiny was formed.

The Hispanic Market is still the most undeserved, even though 52% of all first time home buyers in this county are Latino.

I have been the number one Realtor in Texas and number 10 in the nation for my previous companies.

I became a broker 7 years ago and hope to become the number 1 Latin brokerage in Dallas.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was very smooth until I opened my own brokerage.

My previous broker was not very happy she lost her top producer and main feather in her hat. She had recruited a lot of realtors because of my success. She tried for years to close us down, just made me stronger in the long run.

The recession was also a major obstacle but we also turned our entire focus on bank owned foreclosures and stayed alive as we watched all our competitors shift offices in our area. Including my previous broker. It was pretty sweet.

Century 21 Alicia Trevino Realtors – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
What sets us apart is our family environment. We are family owned and operated and we care about our Realtors.

We specialize in Residential, new home sales. We will open a property management office this year.

The fact I was a top producer and switched over to brokerage when I was at the top of my career is a huge advantage for our Realtors. It is rare when you can be mentored by a high performing Realtor

Also, we celebrate everyone’s Latin culture. We have agents from all over South America, Columbia, Venezuela, Honduras, Mexico, Ecuador and other parts of the world.

Makes for an incredible spicy, fun office environment

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The fact that both my children work in the office, my daughter as the office manager and my son just passed his real estate test and will be working in our management department as a leasing specialist and sales consultant.

We have a legacy for generations to come. The true American Dream. I am very proud to be in America.
