I am a USMC Veteran spouse who adores using my hands. I purchased a 20.00 sewing machine from a thrift shop. I would make clothes for church. I was asked to make a skirt for Elder Gatewood and the Rest Is History. I have had my fashions in SC
NC FTMFashionshow. I have my Designs in New York FTMFASHIONWEEK. I have been featured in Farbe Magazine I was Also 2019 -2020 Designer of the year. I have Designed for Celebrity Jewelry Designer for Black Panther movie and Gospel Legend Beverly Crawford God has been Good to me. I look forward to Designing to see where this sewing Continues to take me. In the midst of this, I lost my Dear Sweet Mother, Mother in love and my Grandmother, my brother, has been in a coma for 5yrs. With all this heartache, I am driven to do what my mother always told me KEEP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING. I am not slowing up I am more determined to create more Great Designs Thank you for this Honor.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The road has not been smooth. I went through sickness and death of my mother, grandmother and mother in Love all in one year.My USMC Veteran husband in and out of the hospital but I still had to be a wife, mom and caregiver. I went into Depression but through Prayer and God, I am getting back One Day at a time.

I Birthed MCWOriginal at my home Designing clothes for friends and family and has taken me to many places. I am know for the Ankara African Print Midi and maxi skirts. To see my Designs s on women All across the country. My most proud moment was when I was recognized by Bravo Project Runway after NY Fashionweek as being a Designer. I don’t compete with other Designers I am set apart because I Love being Unique and different.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up In Metter GA and Bluffton SC, I was a Happy Go Lucky kid who Loves to laugh and I Loved clothes playing dress up and in my mom’s heels. I loved to read wasn’t too social; I had one BFF and that still remains.
