Kristina, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My venture as a spa massage therapist to a private owner was somewhat like most stories of hard-working entrepreneurs. Originally wanting to have flexibility and time for my family, I decided to go to massage school and realized I had a natural gift for not only people but the body. I did not end up using my license for many years but maintained it for another option. After being in the corporate setting for several years, I unfortunately, after receiving a great promotion, I was laid off due to cutbacks within our department.
At that point, I immediately needed to find work as I had a family to provide for. I started out working with a team of therapists at DFW airport, which eventually I moved on to medical massage, chiropractic care, high-end day spas and contract work for several companies in the Fort Worth Metroplex. It was the contract work that really gave me the confidence to work for myself independently. Being in the community and working alongside and with many large stakeholders and establishments of high level of integrity I was confident in my knowledge and skills to step out on faith and begin my own practice
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
This has not been a smooth road and or path. Every day had its ups and downs but, because of my own mindset of doing things, whether the road is long and rough or short and easy, I continue to keep pushing. A few clients turned in to many clients. One location is now looking to be an expansion to a second. Struggles lead to lighted pathways.

Our company is a holistic medical and therapeutic massage practice. Being independent is something we value. It identifies a distinct separation of us and the large franchises. We pride ourselves in being able to not only create the experience but, provide the benefit and value of true, pure massage therapy from the enjoyable relaxation session to the specialized treatment for a specific ailment. We can accommodate to customize a treatment plan for the client’s specific needs and desires. We are proud to say that we have established an authentic brand that solely identifies with not only us but our community. A culture of integrity, knowledge, kindness and respect.

What is incredible about our practice is that our clients are the biggest cheerleaders we have! They support and continue to push our brand in the community with word of mouth, passing out business cards when they go to different establishments, forwarding our email blast and giving us great reviews! If it were not for our customers, we would not be who we are today.
Along the way, I have met many great supporters of myself and the brand with encouraging words of support. A lot of great advice personal and professional. As if your mindset is not clear personally, then you will not be ready professionally. I would be here forever naming names of those that have contributed to our success. Daily I meet someone new that adds even more value to my business as it grows. Whether it has been SCORE, The DEC Network, other business owners I have come in contact with, I have worked for and or contracted with massage educators, TCC, and so many others nonetheless, they have all been nothing but supportive of our journey.
