Meet Eunice Jones

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eunice Jones.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Eunice. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was born and raised in Oklahoma City and is the only girl with five brothers. I graduated in 1997 from John Marshall HS. I was a nurse for 11 years until I began my passion for helping people with Life Coaching. I am an ordained minister and has been serving the Lord in ministry for nearly 20 years. I am a mother of four beautiful children and reside in Dallas, Texas since 2011. I am most passionate about helping people who have suffered heartache and loss. I speak all over, empowering people to change, heal, and be restored in all things. I am active in serving my community by volunteering at shelters in the metro city area and speaking about breaking the cycle of homelessness and mental illness. I am active member of Truth Love Compassion Church (TLC Ministry) since 2013 and I love to sing and worship the Lord. I started writing as early as ten years old to help heal my childhood pain and find strength. I am currently working on my next book about relationships and healing and a book on the power of prayer. I am launching a business called Propel Purpose in February 2020 that will coach and help people fulfill their divine purpose in Life. I have a podcast entitled Life Happens with Coach E on anchor.fm and my first published book, “Love Letters, My personal Journey towards Healing” the series of this will be published in April 2020 with the second book “Love Letters II, My addiction to trauma” Included in this series is a journal so that those reading can journal their own Life’s hurt and push towards healing.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has been an extremely challenging road. Being homeless with four children and being a nurse at Baylor hospital but still not making enough to support my children when I first moved here in 2011. In 2015 I lost my ex-husband and father of my three oldest children due to illness. And in 2018, I lost my friend and father of my youngest child to illness. Since then, I have been working as an entrepreneur, coaching others and building a business brand. I am the only living parent to my children and the only grandparent here to my two beautiful granddaughters. My oldest son is in college and playing basketball and commutes from home. And a son in high school praying basketball. My youngest daughter is a cheerleader and aspiring model, so I’m always on the go. Most of the time I don’t think of it as a challenge until I have to be at two places at once and then it gets discouraging. But I don’t have any choice but to make it work because I am all they have. I have to maintain my physical, mental, and emotional health because, again, I am all they have. I couldn’t see a life without all that I carry and only God has gotten me through the worst of those days. That said, though, I wouldn’t change the journey because I’ve done some really outstanding things to be 41. And I will continue to do so because I want to leave a legacy for my children and my grandchildren! Quitting or giving up is absolutely out of the question.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I’ve been life coaching since 2014. I started telling my story at shelters and in the community and that lead to coaching and case management. I am known mostly for helping people heal. I teach them how to identify their pain, sit with it and recover from it and use that pain to propel them into their divine purpose. This year my company is being branded into “Propel Purpose where I will continue coaching but also help others publish their own books and stories to share their gift with the world. I have T-shirts and mugs and other merchandise with words that I have used with clients to keep them empowered and motivated and on a walk of power and purpose. I am most proud of being a single mother and changing what society and my background said that I should be. I put in the work to become a success and put into works to create a platform to give others the courage and know how to succeed and heal! I believe what sets me apart from others is that I’m not speaking of something I haven’t lived through and healed from! I know what it feels like to be broken, abused, betrayed, neglected, let down, hurt! I could go on and on but I decided determination that I was NOT my pain but I was the purpose behind the pain! And I reach my clients how to do that as well!

What were you like growing up?
As a child, I loved reading and writing. I started writing at ten because I wasn’t in an environment where I could express my feelings and myself freely, so I would write. I was athletic and loved singing and was in the choir and on the softball team. This was an outlet to try and build my self esteem as I didn’t hear praise as much as a child. My father was murdered when I was five and my mother coped with drugs. I kept a pretty positive head on my shoulders for the most part, with writing as my outlet. I would participate in drama, reciting Maya Angelou’s poems and speaking at assemblies. So I guess I was always going to become who I am now. I didn’t know it.
