Meet Mark Langston of Gifted Graphix in DeSoto

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mark Langston.

Mark, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Wow, where to start. It early starts back as a young kid drawing cars on the church programs in the middle of service. I got into the digital arts in the early 2000s as a junior in high school. Which has funny become the class I was taking the school lost the funding for and we were all forced to take photoshop. Continuing to express my passion for paper, many friends from school asked me to draw tattoos for them. Fast forwarding to 2015, April to be exact, the men of my church was headed to our annual retreat. Well, one of the Deacons asked me to design him a logo for his new business. Being out of practice, I still accepted the challenge. And on that day talking with him, the fire was relit and Gifted Graphix was born. Yup from a little motivation with pen and paper. Now in 2020, we have about 210 clients, including the ones who only have us design for them.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Smooth? No way! Even my on wife thought I’d walk away from this business like I have done many things before. Heck, when we started doing custom apparel in the middle of our first large order, the press breaks. Ha. Honestly, the real struggle for us is making sure Gifted Graphix is a print shop that will always be known for its KINGDOM VALUES.

Please tell us about your business.
Well, Gifted Graphix is a full service custom print. We specialize in printed media, apparel, graphics and signs. Basically, in a nutshell, “You Name It, We Print It.” We are known for our fast turnaround and great catalog of customizable apparel. I’m proud that we are now becoming a recognized brand in the DFW Metroplex. Gifted Graphix is set apart solely on the personal attention that we take time for on each and every clients. That’s what helps us make your impossible a reality.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Our future is looking great. We plan on having our storefront by Oct 2020.
