Meet Gwen Snyder of The ‘Ville Studio in Farmersville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gwen Snyder.

Gwen, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My creativity didn’t truly present itself until I was in my thirties. It all started with lavender fields and treehouses. It quickly moved into re-purposing materials for interior design projects. Thanks to my daughter, our lives were emerged into a theater. Building props, sets, and making special effects and costumes became a natural element in our lives. The studio has become a gathering place to incorporate all of these artistic abilities. I am constantly inspired by the way the morning light reflects on the walls and the shadows cast by the amazing sunsets.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has been extraordinary how the community, and the surrounding areas, have embraced this concept.

Please tell us about The ‘Ville Studio.
The ‘Ville Studio was created to be a natural light photography studio, and then, in the blink of an eye, new visions started to surface. Since I’m already heavily involved in the arts, it was natural to bring it here. With an artist in Asheville, North Carolina, local actors, bloggers, dancers, high school artists, a filmmaker, families, and a community theatre group, we definitely have creative vibes flowing in this space.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
We love downtown Farmersville and the creative community that is developing here.
