Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Bryan.
Ashley, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I received my BBA in Marketing and Advertising from Northwood University, worked in corporate America for ten years doing anything from office admin to PR, and have owned my own at home businesses in the beauty and fashion industry since 2011. I always wanted to open an upscale salon or day spa and knew I needed to jump feet first into this industry at 31 years old to learn how to make our place different from industry standards I had come to know.
My personal specialties are hand-tied extensions. My passion is educating other stylists and building their businesses for their success. Overall, making women feel empowered and confident is what I strive for, whether that is for a client in my chair or a fellow professional.
In 2017 we opened a small, but upscale private studio salon called 2 Ten Salon & Studios in Willow Park, Texas in The Shops at Willow Park, August 2019 we were lucky enough to gain another space in The Shops near Parker County Brewing Co. that houses our open-concept independent salon. In December 2019, my husband and I opened IV SPOT (IVSPOTWP.COM), the first of it’s kind in Parker County.
Besides managing these businesses, I take care of my amazing clients and their extension needs, along with all the marketing for myself, 2 Ten Salon & Studios, and IV SPOT. I am also an educator for the Hand Tied Halo Extension method based in Frisco, Texas, and travel to teach certification classes to other stylists wanting to learn this method.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Smooth roads in business do not exist. There are hurdles and challenges along every step of the way, and as long as you have a great support system and stay focused, you can achieve whatever you are striving for. Our road has been challenging in different ways than most, and will continue to be, but having a clear vision that we could always refer back to has been important to stay on track. Also, staying ahead of changes, needs of our community and new trends keeps us relevant. Growing our stylists, and independent professionals has always been our goal and will remind our mission. When others succeed, we succeed!

In regards to 2 Ten Salon & Studios, we welcome independent hair stylists and other beauty professionals such as medical aesthetics nurses, estheticians, and lash artists, who are looking to build their own small businesses. We provide marketing and support to those professionals that we choose to become part of the 2 Ten family and grow them as much as possible. 2 Ten is different because we want to create a culture within our business that cultivates creativity and legendary customer service. We want to be different and personable with our staff and community. Stylists who plug into the 2 Ten way, see tremendous growth and networking with people in the area as well as from other parts of the state.
We specialize in women’s, men’s & kid’s hair. Hand tied extensions, color corrections, barbering, nurse injectors, waxing, brows, IV hydration, vitamin shots, lashes and a more personal, comfortable experience for our clients.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I had to start over, the only thing I would change is that I would have started sooner. I never thought I’d see my dream come to fruition, so I put off planning and educating myself for many years.
I know there were many things I didn’t know in the beginning but not knowing some of those things kept us humble and we partnered with the right people for success.
