MeCee, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Well, start off saying my mother has always been a hairstylist, so I followed her footsteps ×10. I got to where I am today because of determination. I was determined to be the best. Plus, making my own lane was a big factor. Never really wanted to work for anybody else taking orders just off of that I pushed myself super hard and didn’t expect any handouts from anybody… what you put in is what you get. Plus, I’m thankful for the People who’ve entered or left my life till This day I LEARNED and love meeting people their story’s always motivates me to be a better person.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely not at all. Plenty of struggles was funding to get all the licenses I have plus my faith in myself was a little bumpy at first… but I did the work and deserved a pat on the back from my self. The only struggles I had was me… Actually, I kept getting in my own way not even giving myself the credit… thank ya lord I’m here now pushing and ready for every obstacle. I now have four licenses under my belt and plan on getting plenty more.

My folks Juanita and James McHenry open this business and made me the manager all we bring is love an opportunity… plus you will definitely leave out satisfied.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Honestly, my most remarkable childhood memories I can even think of and kind of funny I got hit by an ice cream truck bumping my little shoe way across the street, and I’m still here. Got chased by a dog pulled my ponytail off. It almost got me 🤣🤣😂 and I’m still here. So I’m here for a reason, and I definitely have a purpose because I definitely could be gone.
