Safiya, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was always into hand making my own hair oils and lotions, I felt they were safer that what we find in the stores today. So one day my brother was visiting me asking for a solution to his extremely dry scalp and so I whipped him up some Glow, with Eucalyptus and lavender. He said he hated the smell but the moisturizer helped him immensely!
He asked me if I could make it smell good and see if people wanted to try it. I continued to research and develop until I came out with the final formula which we can find online today.
At this time, I was a mom of a ten months old and had two other children so the Juggle was Real!
But thankfully everyone that has used the lotion has loved it and now we are selling all over the nation and healing dry skin!
I just want to produce a safe natural solution to dry skin and hair with easy to read ingredients, a great smell, and free from any chemicals.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Not At ALL! I am a wife, a mother of three, and a teacher. On top of that an entrepreneur. Luckily I run into so many amazing people that are skilled enough to take my business to the next level but I feel like there is so much more to learn.
Trends are changing fast, its very hard to keep up with life and business at the same time. But it is definitely not impossible. So by taking baby steps for the past seven years, it has got me to a place where I can finally efficiently derive a plan. I’m hoping for a lot of change in 2020!
I just need to prioritize time and network a lot to get going.

I think we need to really take into consideration that the younger crowd will catch on to these trends and not really know that these products can really harm them in the future.
I am a teacher by day, but I love helping people create ways to build healthy habits. Get rid of your products that are harmful or carry harmful chemicals and clean out your product line. I also do diet counseling for close friends, helping them eat cleaner and understand the benefits of the Ketogenic Diet. I would say I’m known for just this, Glow and Keto!
I am so proud of how I was able to connect personally with my customers all over the nation. I make it a point to not just sell you a Moisturizer but to hear your story. What is your journey to gain beautiful skin? What types of skin issues do you have? How is your diet? How often do you exercise? Do you drink enough water? These are the refreshing questions I ask to motivate my customers to not only take care of their skin but take care of their entire bodies, living a happy wholesome life.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My initial plan is to freshen up my brand and make as many connections as possible. In the future, I plan to scale up and expand my line to more types of products. My plans now is to sustain the brand awareness by doing many marketing events and making my social media pages way more active.
I’m looking forward to Glow being a household name and a product that people can trust, I also hope to achieve more customer engagement. Helping people feel better is what gives me the most energy to keep going.
There may be some rebranding and repackaging in the near future but I will keep everyone updated on that when the time comes.
