Today we’d like to introduce you to Matthew and Brittani Miller.
Originally from a Northern suburb of Los Angeles, California, Matt and Brittani Miller now call Southlake, TX home.
This husband and wife team first met in kindergarten. Brittani had a huge crush on Matt and Matt had a huge crush….. on Brittani’s best friend. She promises to never let him forget this! It took quite a few years and all of her best jokes until she clawed her way out of the friend-zone. Her hair gently blew in the wind, the sun-kissed her skin. As their eyes met the birds began to sing and he fell in love. Brittani may or may not have told this version. It’s probably best to ask Matt for his version too.
Now on to the important stuff. Matt started his career as a Senior Recruiter at one of Los Angeles’ top recruiting and consulting firms where he assisted in placing people at their dream jobs. Since moving to Texas, Matt has shifted gears to placing people in their dream homes.
Brittani is a second-generation REALTOR® with a passion for people. As an experienced event producer and self-proclaimed problem solver. She has the keen ability to bring a client’s vision to fruition.
They believe in living the “Dash” in all that they do. Every moment needs to be seized. Life is short and we need to make the most of every single experience with our loved ones.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I don’t think a career in Real Estate grants anyone a smooth road. If someone tells you that it has been smooth, they are either untruthful or untried. There are so many twists and turns here, you will never know all that there is to know in this ever-changing industry. What we do know is that we are adaptive and flexible with the world and market around us.
This business relies on people. Often times people that you don’t know. You have your own clients of course, but then you also work with another agent, their clients, Loan Offices, Title companies, Inspectors, Appraisers, etc. All of these people have different personality types and communication styles.
Some clients only want to know the numbers, the facts.
Some clients want to walk you through each room and share a specific memory about their treasured home.
Some clients want to be informed of the most minute details along the way.
Some clients hand you the keys to their home and they will meet you at the closing table after all is said and done.
Coordinating the deal is an intricate dance. We have made it our job to become experts in this art. Two clients will never be the same and two deals will never be the same. With that being said, it is our job to handle all bumps along the road so that our client’s experience is as smooth as possible.

What does that entail? We make it our business to know your neighborhood. We love the idea of shopping locally. How do we support this? I think one of the biggest benefits is that we are a husband and wife team, but we are also a part of a greater team. What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Our proudest moments are when we are able to close on client’s homes when they are working with special programs. There are so many options for people who don’t think they can purchase a home. Some of them might take a bit more time and effort on our part and the part of the clients. In our opinion, it is worth it in the end.
We have discovered and worked through programs that more senior agents have never heard of or seen close successfully – we made it happen. We have also worked with programs that support and thank our heroes (Military, Police, Fire, Doctors, Nurses, Teachers). Who wouldn’t want a little bit of extra money back in their pocket after purchasing their home?
Seeing the smile at the closing table as the client receives their keys is such a rewarding feeling because we have been on a journey together.
