Today we’d like to introduce you to Deziraye Oliveira and Carol Werneck.
Deziraye and Carol, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Nashville Girl Apparel was brought to life when both partners decided that our favorite brands from Brazil could be available at one store. We started with a Facebook page December 2019 that led to an Instagram page. We started receiving amazing feedback on our clothes and purses instantly. Our costumers begged for a website to better see our brands.
We then created nashville.ecwid.com, including all our clothing and accessories. Also had a graphic designer Ashley Bolin also local to Dallas, start our logo. The online boutique was a huge hit with the western rodeo scene in no time at all. Customers from all over the country took notice. Our purses have been featured on many western Instagram pages. We have been thrilled to style some rodeo queens and look forward to many new collections to add along with more brands. Nashville Girl Apparel was a dream brought to life with dedication and with determined partners to bring it all together.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Both partners have been involved in the rodeo world. They have family and friends that compete at a professional level. Our ability to reach out further was difficult. There are many similar brands offered at boutiques that have been in business much longer. So to stand out was a challenge, having the right models and professional pictures was a must.
Please tell us about Nashville Girl Apparel.
Nashville Girl Apparel is unique in that we offer brands from Brazil. Our specialty is that the apparel is made with attention to detail in each piece. Every pair of jeans are different; no two are the same. We handpick our pieces to offer in our store. Our focus is to choose styles and fashion looks that are trending.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Playing boutique with my friends on playdates. My friends, cousins and I would pull all of my clothes out, fold them perfectly and set up a shop to sell. We would also get into my mother’s jewelry and makeup and play dress up. We would make such a mess.
