Today we’d like to introduce you to Sharon Sorrell.
Sharon Sorrell was born and raised in Texas. While she headed off to Aggie land for undergrad at Texas A&M University, she came back to Dallas, Texas immediately after graduation to work in event production. She dabbled in sales and event production for ten years, knowing that neither was her true passion. Throughout those ten years, she would create beautiful spaces and events for friends and family on the side wondering when it could become her full-time career. A very special friend turned client in Preston Hollow asked Sharon to help furnish their new home and Sharon Sorrell Interiors, LLC was born. Six years later, she has had the pleasure of creating beautiful spaces for clients throughout Dallas. Sharon lives in North Dallas with her husband Brandon, a Dallas native, and their two sons. Sharon and Brandon have a passion for remodeling older homes. Their spaces have become a calling card for her modernized timeless style.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
We have been very fortunate that Sharon Sorrell Interiors, LLC has experienced steady growth over the years. However, there have been several learning curves along the way that have shaped Sharon Sorrell Interiors into what it is today. Running a small business always comes with its own set of challenges. Ours ranged from creating efficiency in the back office to managing economic ups and downs. Learning how to operate and grow a small business was a skill set that we had to make myself learn. While the creative portion was always intuitive, the back office proved to require demand personal development.
In 2019 I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer. The business had to function at a skeletal level for eight months during my treatment. While enduring the toughest trial of my life, Sharon Sorrell Interiors, my clients, and my amazing team gave me a sense of normalcy and purpose. It solidified to me that design is my true passion and I am happy to report that I am now in remission.
The pandemic has affected so many small businesses around the world. Sharon Sorrell Interiors has had to figure out a “new normal” during this time as well. Having children, spouses, and clients all Sheltered in Place has created the need to reinvent how we provide our services. Client consultations, timelines, and pricing have all had to change in order to still be operational. Through it all, owning your own business and being fortunate enough to do what you love, has been one of the biggest blessings in my life. The road is not always easy but it sure is fun!

We have transformed residential, commercial, and event spaces from remodels to ground upbuilds. Sharon Sorrell Interiors specializes in innovative styling from a broad and diverse range of sources. We love to incorporate client-owned pieces and unique items that provide meaning and memories in the space they live in each day.
We are known for delivering a timeless and elevated style while working within a wide range of budgets. We approach each space with a creative, energetic, resourceful and decisive mindset. We are proud of our firm’s reputation and the relationships we have built with each client. Our singular goal is their satisfaction and sense of pride and ownership in the beautiful space we create together. This has ultimately led to a 100% referral-based business. Having someone design and style your home can be such an intimate process. What sets Sharon Sorrell Interiors apart is the way in which we listen and pivot when needed, while always helping the client to expand their horizons on style.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
While the Sharon Sorrell Interiors website has driven business, we would have ultimately adopted a more comprehensive social media strategy earlier on. We are currently in the process of a complete refreshment of all online Sharon Sorrell Interiors platforms and we are excited to see what new opportunities are created.
