Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Pitts, Sarah Carter, Gabriel Goins, LaTasha Williams and Jemmiah Edwards.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Snatchem’ Tribe is a women empowerment and networking company designed to help women snatch their dreams and goals by force!
But before we officially became the Snatchem’ Tribe we started out as a group of friends who genuinely wanted to see each other succeed. It all started with our “Girls Night In”. Once a month each of us would take turns hosting GNI where we would discuss different topics such as relationships, fears, dreams and goals. We didn’t just gather together to provide updates on our problems and leave. Our conversations were filled with encouragement, motivation, and determination. What we were experiencing together was different than any other group we had ever been apart of or associated with. We talked about what we wanted to do and held each other accountable to take steps toward completing that goal. A sisterhood was truly being formed.
We knew that we all didn’t cross each other’s paths by chance. The growth and development that we all were experiencing within a short amount of time resulted from our monthly meetings. It was during one of our GNI that we brainstormed on how we can impact women, especially millennial women, to not just talk about their dreams and goals but make them become a reality. How can we empower and uplift women to work together and have results like we did?
We began to discuss how we wanted to impact and uplift with other women around the world. Empowering and helping women to create their own tribe so they too can SNATCH their dreams and goals into reality! So with a lot of planning and hard work, we decided to go into business together and on 12/27/2018, we officially became known as the Snatchem’ Tribe!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
To have the mindset that anytime you start something new that everything will be smooth sailing is not realistic. We have come to learn that as soon as you speak what you want into the atmosphere, 99.9% of the time you will be tested. The test comes to reveal to you how close or how far apart your words are from your actions. It’s up to you to continue on or re-adjust your actions to achieve your desired result.
So with that being said, it has not been a smooth road, but we can definitely say it has been worth it. We’ve had our misunderstandings, disagreements, and made some mistakes. But through working together we have learned more about each other and built a stronger bond. What allows us to keep going is our open communication and respect that we have for one another.
what should we know about Snatchem’ Tribe? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Our vision is to be a global sisterhood connecting women all around the world to build meaningful relationships that last beyond a lifetime. We help you turn inspiration into manifestation through a hosting of events such as workshops, seminars, brunches, and networking events. Our events are strategically put together to connect women with other businesses and resources within the community. As well as for you to leave empowered, motivated, and SNATCHED!
What sets us apart as a brand is our chemistry that we have amongst one another. When we host an event you are guaranteed to not leave the same way you came. One of our most proud moments as Snatchem’ Tribe was this past December when we held “Snatchem’ Tribe presents the Emma Ammé Experience.” Our mission is to help women SNATCH their dreams and goals into reality. So what better way to convey that than to begin within the group. Gabriel Goins is not only one of the founding members of the Snatchem’ Tribe but she also is a fashion designer who goes by the designer name Emma Ammé. She has always had a dream of having a fashion show showcasing her designs. As well as raise awareness for foster care children as she too was once one.
We pulled together our finances, resources, and talents to ensure this dream became a reality! What made this event such a proud moment for us is because we knew the obstacles we faced along the way. How does five women who work average 9-5 jobs make an event well over $2000 happen? While still caring for our children, handling our household responsibilities, and Gabriel staying up late every night to complete her designs. If we would have never persevered, we would have not had a sold-out event, been featured in Shake My Beauty, and be awarded as 2019’s Outstanding Women in Business.
Do you have a lesson or advice you’d like to share with young women just starting out?
Advice that we can give to young women who are starting their journey is to make sure that they seek out wise counsel. We know first hand how excited you can be when you’ve got a new idea. So use the foundation that was laid by those who have gone before you. Time wasted is time that you can’t get back. In addition to that, START A TRIBE! What one person can accomplish on their own can happen a lot quicker with a group of individuals working toward the same goal.
