David, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
One month before our wedding day… I decided to go out alone and tell my wife that I was going to give the video thing a try! Happy wedding gift honey. LOL. It has now been 26+years, and I am still married and in business. I am a full-service video production company, including weddings, corporate and business.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In my business, technology is the most difficult to keep up with. In the early years, I could keep onto the same equipment for about 2-3 years… Now I am lucky if it is 1 year before I have to re-tool. The other struggle I have now, is that there are so many people coming into the video productions field, and I believe it is because of the small cost to enter. But, they do not know how to handle he business or the customer service part of it. I keep up with all the new trends that enter daily, and that helps a lot!
Video One Productions – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Video One Productions is a complete, but small, video productions business. We specialize in any video needs. Including corporate, business or wedding services. I am best known for the years in business (26+) because of other organizations coming into this field and not lasting very long. And mainly because of them not knowing how important communicating and customer services are. I am very proud to say that Video One Productions knows all about that!
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The proudest moment of my career so far is that I have stayed in business, through the good and the bad, for over 26 years…And counting!!
