When I lived in California, I would bring my then rescued Mastiff Duke to Three Dog Bakery every weekend. It was so warm & inviting and they loved my Duke. I have said many times. When I relocated to Texas, I missed Three Dog Bakery weekends and so did Duke. That was when I knew I needed to bring that love to Texas for all pet parents to experience. Now we are spoiling dogs in the Dallas Fort Worth area in all 4 of our locations.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
There are always ups & downs. The holidays are always busy but you need to be prepared for the times when it is slow. Retail has many moving parts and it starts with our awesome customers to our pastry boxes & bags, baking supplies, shipments, employees, schedules, orders, etc. But we take it all with a grain of salt and move forward with any challenge or obstacle. We prepare a plan and put it in action.
How could anything be that bad when you work at a dog bakery! It is unique but fun. It is hard work at times but new puppy kisses make every second worth it all.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Three Dog Bakery is very rescue friendly. We will continue to grow our brand which will allow us to help more animals locally in need of help. Our original Southlake location will be 10 in June of 2018. We will celebrate!
