Thanks for sharing your story with us Estina. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
One day as I was sitting at work, I thought to myself, I want to do something else besides being a nurse. I thought long and hard about what I was good at and something that I use everyday. Then a light bulb went off, lipstick and lip gloss. I researched everything pertaining to lipstick and lip gloss, with a lot of hard work and dedication, here I am.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has not been a smooth road. Some of the struggles I faced was where do I start. I had to do a lot of research about ingredients etc. I would literally wake up researching info and go to bed, still researching info lol.
Gloss’d Cosmetics – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I started researching lipstick and lip gloss in August/September of 2018, after researching everything from ingredients to the type of tubes I wanted and picking a relevant name for my business, I launched Gloss’d Cosmetics in May 2019. I’m an online cosmetics store that provides matte liquid lipstick, traditional lipstick and non-sticky lip paint (gloss) with a strawberry scent in a variety of colors ranging from nudes to bold colors. I am known for my long-lasting matte liquid lipstick that last hours even after eating or drinking, non-sticky lip paint (gloss) that glides on like paint and smells wonderful and my black ombre tubes.
My products are also very pigmented. I tell my customers, however, it looks in the tube, is how it’s going to look on your lips once you apply it. We also offer a free lip scrub with every purchase, which after using, your lipstick or lip paint (gloss), will apply smoothly. What I am most proud of as a company is inspiring women and my children to do whatever it is that they want to do, the company is growing and we’ll be adding new things to the website soon. What sets me apart from other companies is the quality and packaging of my products along with the exceptional customer service I provide.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I personally define success as living my truth, having a pure genuine heart and finding my purpose and doing just that. Also, to make a difference and helping others find their way as well. My criteria for finding success is ALWAYS staying positive. I speak and write down whatever it is I want to manifest and actually doing the work that’s necessary. You also have to surround yourself with like-minded people. I set goals for myself as well, small and big.
