Today we’d like to introduce you to Jake Tayler Jacobs.
Jake is the author of “We are Sick” a phenomenal financial transformation book and “People First, Results Second”, the blueprint to building a successful organization and business in the 21st Century. He has empowered hundreds and thousands of people from 6 countries through his audio, video, and live, leadership and business trainings. He is developing the #1 leadership and organization transformation academy of his generation.
After leaving the corporate world making well over six figures, he jumped out on faith and became an entrepreneur, only to realize he was not properly equipped or knowledgeable enough to build a successful company. Making only $100 a week, and literally failing at almost every business adventure he created for more than 2 years, he decided to take some time away from business building to figure out why he was not succeeding. After being advised to seek a business coach, his coach helped him realize he was doing all of the right things; however, they were in the wrong order. So, following his coach’s advice, and using his failures as navigation tools, he created a simple 3 Step System that took his firm to the next level, and in only 9 months produced well over $350,000 dollars in revenue, including a $100k dollar month. He believes that having a business coach saved his life, and has decided to devote the rest of his professional career to transforming the lives of leaders, entrepreneurs alike.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Heck no, the road was definitely difficult. Especially when you don’t realize you have absolutely no idea on how to successfully run a company, or what exactly you are supposed to be doing. I think the hardest part of my road to get to where I am now is getting lost in the idea that money means everything. I believe, that is what took me off my destined course on most occasions, getting into endeavors I had no business getting into partnering with people I had no business partnering with all because the money looked rewarding. All of these things were a product of me being unaware of my destiny. Had I taken my time to seek a mentor, or taken some time to get to know myself and what God had in store for me maybe, it would have saved me a bunch of headache and thousands of dollars’ worth of mistakes.
The Jacobs Firm – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
When it comes to our company, my wife and I extremely proud of our mission to transform the lives of aspiring and current leaders and entrepreneurs. Helping each of them reach their purpose, ultimately their destiny. We are a coaching/consulting firm. Our job is to do exactly our mission, to fight conformity, we believe every person has a specified purpose, and no two people have the same destiny. It is our job to help these leaders and entrepreneurs figure out what that is, and create an unstoppable strategy to getting them there.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Seeing the transformation in people with so much potential, that are extremely dissatisfied, lonely and lacking self-esteem. Because they lack proper direction, guidance and structure. When we are able help a client see exactly what they are called here on earth to do, and guide them in building up that game plan to help them achieve it.
