Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Hanzik.
Tiffany, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was late in life student who worked in litigation, immigration and oil/gas law while in law school. I was with a child while studying for the bar exam and got a license when she was only three weeks old. I have been a single mom throughout my career post-graduation, which has been trying at times. However, I want her to have a role model that I didn’t have growing up. Once I graduated, I spent the first year in oil/gas before entering real estate. I worked at a few companies before I found my home here at Capital. I just celebrated my year here and couldn’t be happier. I get to travel around Texas teaching real estate agents continuing education, serve on the corporate legal team and also have a closing team that is a house in our Park Cities office. I love being able to help the real estate agents of Texas.
Has it been a smooth road?
Working as a single mom in a new career can be extremely difficult at the time. Being in a new field is hard enough with the time demands and the amount of time it takes to make a name for yourself but I have accomplished that in a short few years where it takes others a lot longer in our industry. I take pride in my availability outside of traditional business hours to better serve our clients. However, it’s challenging with a four-year-old.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Capital Title of Texas story. Tell us more about your work.
Our company is bar none the best title company out there and I can say that after going through a few trying to find my place in the real estate world. Our leaders, Bill Shaddock and Tracy McMahon, are the best of the best. They truly care about each employee and show it in so many ways. We have grown exponentially in the last few years, yet they are still available when you need them. During the initial few months of COVID, Bill bought lunch for every one of our over 100 offices every day. In addition, we recently got a bonus just for our hard work during COVID while other companies were laying off employees. We value a family feels and our clients feel that. We also work outside of the 8-5 hours, which is crucial in our industry.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see our industry continuing to prosper and we are so blessed to be in one of the best markets in the nation. DFW is leading in real estate!
