Cabria, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
After high school, I started working at a department store. Being in the environment, my eyes shifted in a different perspective. Allowing me to realize that I wanted to have my own business or a few. It was important to me to find a way to break the generational curses that have constantly been going on in my family. I wanted to be able to pass down my legacy to my future children.
Has it been a smooth road?
Nothing in life will ever be easy. Applying myself to strive for the best me, during all of my trials and tribulations is why I’m able to stand tall today. I’ve battled with severe depression throughout my life and it’s hard to press forward when it seems like no one is on your side, especially family. I spent a lot of time alone to learn about who I am. I was responsible for carrying myself through these obstacles that were in my way. There will always be obstacles and understanding that everything can’t always be a controlled environment helps me find my way.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
I currently have two businesses. My first business, Bria’s Brilliance, is where I create custom apparel, party supplies, and household decor. This was truly a hobby that turned into a business and I’m forever grateful to provide top tier quality products for my customers.
My second business, Stardust Clothing Line LLC, was inspired by my daughter, Nova. It’s a children’s line for the ages 6 Months – 5 Years old. I started this business to provide affordable, trendy pieces for young children. It’s something I plan to pass on to my daughter when she’s ready to manage it. She’s a natural stylist so it’ll be easy for her to make good decisions.
