Today we’d like to introduce you to Tonya Brooks an Leticia Cole.
Mrs. Brooks is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, LA. After working as a Registered Nurse in the NICU for ten years, she decided to further her education. She then earned her Masters of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University in Dallas, TX, specializing in pediatrics. She has since been working in pediatric primary care in the DFW area. Mrs. Brooks is particularly interested in newborn care, growth and development, and children living healthy lives. She is honored to be apart of the Sniffles & Giggles family and excited about caring for our pediatric community.

Leticia L. Cole, DNP, CPNP-PC, CPN
Ms. Cole was born in Dallas and raised in Garland, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Texas Woman’s University. As a nurse, she fell in love with the pediatric population. To further her education, she received her Master’s degree as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from Texas Woman’s University and her Doctorate of Science in Nursing degree. She is a dedicated nurse practitioner and has always had a love for caring for children. She is excited to be part of the Sniffles & Giggles family and thanks to the community for allowing her to be a part of your child’s health care needs.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The road has not always been easy, but it has been rewarding. There have been many challenges along the way, including obtaining a business loan, establishing business credit, marketing and, most recently, the pandemic. The pandemic has been most challenging because we had to adjust quickly. We had to adjust our schedule, increase our cleaning practices, learn more about COVID-19 and how to better care for our patients. With each challenge, it brought about a new learning experience, which has allowed us to continue to grow as medical professionals and business owners. Each learning experience served as a stepping stone in the growth of Sniffles & Giggles.

Sniffles & Giggles is a full-service pediatric practice offering newborn care and well-child care, comprehensive diagnosis and treatment. We are dedicated to providing family-centered, quality healthcare for children from birth through college. We are a small, personalized practice that takes great pride in establishing a personal relationship with each parent and child.
The mission of Sniffles & Giggles is to promote the health and wellness of the local pediatric population by providing accessible, high quality, evidence-based medical care. Our pediatric care goal is to work with families to help them make informed decisions regarding their child’s journey. We provide a collaborative care team that supports the patient’s and family’s needs before, during and after your visit. Thanks to the many families we serve, we have grown. Our goal is to provide outstanding pediatric care for parents who entrust their child’s well-being to us. We also love assisting and educating first-time parents.
What were you like growing up?
Tonya: I always knew I wanted to work in the medical field and care for children. I used to say that I wanted to be a Pediatrician when asked what I wanted to be when I grow up. I would definitely describe my personality as being caring, thoughtful, cheerful and loving. I oftentimes find myself putting other first. That’s just me.
