Today we’d like to introduce you to Precious L. Williams.
Precious, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My company, Perfect Pitches by Precious, started two years after I launched my lingerie line for full-figured divas and plus size fashionistas, Curvy Girlz Lingerie. I had no money to start it and entered pitch competitions to win money and get introduced to investors. In fact, I started my company with -$400 in my bank account. My first elevator pitch got me on the popular MSNBC show, “Your Business with JJ Ramberg,” in 2012. On the show, I asked for $500k and received it! I was then told to enter pitch competitions and won 13 out of 14 in less than two years and added an additional $150k.
So many people asked me to teach them what I did and I started Perfect Pitches by Precious, where I have coached and trained over 30 pitch champions, gotten them media coverage and investor dollars. Now, I help speakers become #bookedandbusy and PAID, even in the midst of a pandemic!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has not been smooth all the way. I started out in debt and gained $650k to start Curvy Girlz Lingerie. My company was selected for “Shark Tank” in 2016, Season 8. I was flying high. Was in the Wall Street Journal, movies, documentaries and other top business shows around the world. Then, the love of my life died and I lost my mind. I became a severe alcoholic, lost everything and became homeless in less than six months. I was homeless for almost two years. I was in a Christ-centered life transformation program. I graduated in September 2018 and restarted Perfect Pitches by Precious.
Was it hard? Yes! But when I became focused, I started gaining corporate clients like Microsoft, LinkedIn, Google and NBC Universal. I became an international professional speaker and booked over 57 speaking gigs in 2019. I have over 80 this year. My clients have successfully appeared on Shark Tank and other shows and gotten hundreds of thousands of dollar sin investments.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
The qualities that are most important to my success is determination, visibility, and my ability to be a Trailblazer and see visions and trends before others do. I do not give up and always go HARD in the paint.
