Today we’d like to introduce you to Ivonna Brown.
Ivonna, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been into fashion. I’m a firm believer that if you look good, you feel good. And for me being able to express my personality through my outfits has always been something I’ve enjoyed doing. After several years of helping my friends, family and co-workers find the perfect look for birthdays, girls’ night out, date nights, work events, and many more. I decided to become more serious about my styling career. While fashion trends fade daily, style is eternal.
I pride myself on my uniqueness and truly believe that’s what it’s all about… being unapologetically you. I always find myself reminding people that you make the clothes you wear the clothes don’t make you. That’s how Iconic Styles was developed. A one woman army consistently curating outfits for men and women across the Metroplex.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Has it been a smooth road? Of course not! But insanely enough, my biggest challenges have been myself. For years I’d been reluctant to share this gift with the world because it’s something I genuinely find peace and happiness in doing. And I didn’t want to open the door for people’s opinions, whether good or bad, change that for me. I feel like once I got over that fear, I was able to really showcase my skills in its entirety.

Iconic Styles specializes in personal styling for men and women. Personal styling consists of assisting everyday people (both women and men) with wardrobe needs, such as styling for occasions, closet cleanses, personal shopping, and styling advice/consultations. Most of my clients book for styling advice/consultations and styling for occasions. Iconic Styles is most known for its authenticity. While so many others are trying to keep up with the latest trend, I enjoy making and helping people create their own trends while staying current. With that in mind, I’d have to say that’s one of the many things that sets me apart from other stylists. It’s also one of the many reasons why I’m probably first on several people’s call list when they are putting together an outfit. Because of the trust and quality of my work, my clients are always recommending me to people they know, which continues to help my business grow.
Iconic styles has worked on several projects this year, all while being in a pandemic. We curated looks for a boutique relaunch, birthday and just because of photoshoots, and everyday styling.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Iconic Styles is revamping its website and socials so I’m excited for that to be done and released. I’m also looking forward to working with new clients I’ve connected with over the past few months.
