Today we’d like to introduce you to Leonard Robinson.
Leonard, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I have always been taught to be to help others and to become responsible for my actions. I come from a family that was brought up on values of religion and responsibility. My journey started out as being the youngest of ten and having the honor of my siblings to look up to. I was challenged daily by my parents to always be better than my other siblings as they had also been raised to do. “Raise the bar”, that’s what my parents taught me.
In doing so, I have accomplished a successful life in family and business. I have been blessed to have the ability to have worked for several Fortune 500 companies and have some of the greatest mentors ever. These mentors have developed me to become a successful leader and also a mentor to others.
What I notice in business and in life, there are several areas that we all struggle with, some more than others. Those challenges stem from a series of issues from life, work, and health. I have learned to be a good listener and share experiences that have been able to assist others through these issues. I decided to share my thoughts and experiences with others.
I established Robinson International LLC as a brand to identify health and wellness for those that are challenged with coping with day to day obstacles. I started with identifying the challenges that I have gone through and how I have succeeded past them. I shared my thoughts with my best friend and brother to vet out my theories and debates. Lastly, I decided to execute and start a dialogue by video and finally with a self-help book, “HEAL”.
Helping others has always been my goal in life and to become a positive role model for my children and others. While consisting of focusing on eating healthy and proper exercise, I find myself holding accountability for myself and others. We have to be honest with ourselves if we want to change our positions in life. “Heal where its hurt”.
My mission is simple, we all have challenges in our lives but we must recognize them and seek out healing to recover and maintain our lives. My goal is to demonstrate through a blend of self-awareness, wisdom, and business anecdotes, social observations, and biblical allegory. My mission is the show you how to “Change the attitude, change your life”.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I have had several challenges dealing with corporate downsizing, family, and finances. These are the greatest challenges to manage and roughest. I have been downsized in three of my last companies and have lost several family members due to death—All in which has created financial challenges managing in transition. Working to achieve family security and stability in an environment of restructuring and change has caused me to rely on myself more to become self-sufficient in doing so, building a brand for myself and ensuring that I can better manage my life and business better.

Much credit goes to my parents, Tommie and Louise Robinson. My parents taught me to work hard and that no one owes you anything and that you have to work for what you want. My biggest motivation is my faith in God. I truly believe that he has a plan for all of us to be happy and successful in our lives and to follow his promise. That has been my main motivation.
My family has been so supportive of all of them but one of them really impacted my life. I have an older brother, Foster, that has been my role model. He has been like a father and mentor for me since I graduated high school. He showed me how to manage my finances and conduct myself in business. He was firm but fair. Always holding me accountable. I always looked up to him because of his character and self-awareness that he carried about himself. I wanted to be like him!!
My other supporters have been my three children, Cristen, Devin, and Lake. These three make me proud and have my motivation to be a better person and the best Dad that I can be. My brotherhood with this next mentor and advocate is Marcus Lathrop. Marcus and I started working at Blockbuster together and have built an alliance of family and support. He has helped me with the business in regard to the necessity and structure needed to sustain the best results. Marcus and I share the same beliefs in business and in life and we support each other in all situations. Robinson International is based on family, life, and supporting others.
